Speaking to the press before the start of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman announced that Adidas will unveil their line of jerseys on June 21.
The news comes on the heels of the announcement that 13 teams will have new uniforms for the upcoming 2017-18 season.
Only 13 of the 31 teams will have different designs, while the remainder of the NHL will be upgraded to Adidas. Reebok, a subsidiary of Adidas, was the previous uniform designer from the 2007-08 season onward. Back in January, the NHL announced Adidas would take over the role for the foreseeable future.
The notable takeaway from this news is that the Vegas Golden Knights jersey will be revealed to the world for the first time. The logo, color scheme, and name of the Golden Knights were announced in November, and June 21 will be the first time fans can get a look at their uniforms before they hit the ice in the fall.
The jersey unveiling will be held on Wednesday, June 21, alongside the NHL Awards and the NHL Expansion Draft in Las Vegas.
